Based on the symmetrical open plan curve of the same name, the Parabola light is a balancing act between light and shadow, structure and form. Combining robust aluminium and delicate yet durable Japanese washi paper, the different elements work in harmony to project halos of light.
The Parabola is intricately handcrafted using a single circle of Japanese washi paper. It is specially laminated making it water-proof and tear-resistant. The aluminium cage houses the LED light and acts like a shadow dancer, casting a series of intricate shadows on the semi translucent paper.
Feel free to choose from a wide range of colours and create your own unique design to suit your home, office or commercial workspace. Customisations include colours for the rose, cord and cage.
The Parabola is inspired by the parabolic or saddle rooftop design. With its unique curves and unusual angles, the light emitted from the lamps creates interesting textures and shadow plays. Whether the Parabola is on or off, adds a certain architectural presence to any room.
